"Mountain Standard Time"
The summer is about to come to a close, and I'm sad to see it go. This has been one of the funnest summers I've had in a while. Usually summer is about working and trying to get projects done before the winter sets in. This summer I wanted to enjoy it and made an effort to get outside as much as possible. Most of the time this meant going out in the evenings, but that pays off, as the sunsets and evening light are incredible.

"Tetons Sunset"
We are obsessed with these panoramic photos on canvas. It's like creating a new window in your room. This is one of my images of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, with the Moulton barn in the foreground. It was such a beautiful winter evening, with the mountains picking up the pink glow of the sunset. We are posting several of these large panoramics on our website, so take a peek here to see a more. Cheers!

Taking in the Fall scenery...
I took a drive over MacDonald Pass a couple of days ago. A few friends had mentioned the colors through there were spectacular, so I decided to go before I missed it. Fall is my favorite time of year for so many reasons. The air is crisp, but not biting like in Winter, and the forest is dotted with the vibrant colors of Aspen trees, making everything look like an impressionist painting. It's hard not to smile when you're driving through the mountains and everything looks like this.

"Sacred Heart"
The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, near Harlem, Montana. As a lover of pastels, this little country church just gets me. Pink and an aqua blue sky made the very hot day worth it. It was about 103 degrees when this was taken, at the end of a beautiful June day.

"Sandhill Cranes and Wheat Field"
When I love photography
All the time, but when I see something like this, it really gets me in the gut. I'd never seen this many cranes in one place before. Usually I see one or two together. The sky was such a beautiful color. This was at the end of the summer, when most of the wheat fields in Montana have been cut and it's very dry and hot. It's miserable weather, but it creates wonderful color combinations in the landscape and sky.Saturday, September 28, 2013
"Far Reaching"
I already miss the summer.
The huge rolling clouds are my favorite part of summer in Montana. In the winter, there are no defined clouds like these. Mostly, the entire sky is gray in the winter. Boring. It's the definition in the clouds that makes them beautiful.
